Missha Haul

Hi everyone! There are a couple hours left of Christmas (at least in my timezone), and let's face much as giving presents is awesome, there's nothing wrong with treating yourself to a little something either! ;) This year, although I tried my best to avoid the amazing online sales, I really couldn't resist putting a little bit of Missha under my tree.

What I Got:
Time Revolution: The First Treatment Essence
M Perfect Cover BB Cream #13
Professional Cheek Brush
Professional Rounding Angle Foundation Brush
Signature Glam Art Rouge SRD703

Where I Got It:

I'm sure many of you have heard of The First Treatment Essence from Missha, because it's a super popular product. It's a copy-cat of the ultra expensive, SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence, but is about a third of the price and comes in a lovely glass bottle. This baby is packed with 80% fermented yeast extract that is meant to combat the signs of aging and even out your skin tone.

I read some reviews that this stuff stinks (literally), but honestly I'm gonna have to say that's false cause it smells good to me! There is a very slight smell of beer (VERY slight), but that's a good thing in my opinion, considering its yeast is derived from the stuff. It sounded way too cool to pass up, and considering Missha's sale knocked down the price to $30 on a normal $50 bottle, it ended up in my cart pretty quickly. So far, I'm loving it (review to come).

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream is another one of Missha's bestsellers, and most people either love it or hate it. I was really shocked that Missha was giving a FULL SIZE product away by signing up to their email list, but it's true, and it's pretty dang awesome. You better be pale though, because they're only giving out NO.13. It's perfect for me luckily, since I'm something reminiscent of a vampire (okay maybe not THAT bad, but still). I'm not sure how long they're doing this promo

I love these brushes. The gold is really beautiful and the wide handles make them comfortable in your hand. Not much else to say about these, they're super soft and the quality is on the plus side. So far no bristles have fallen out, but we'll see how they hold up to the test of time!

I feel like every girl needs some red lipstick. And this particular lipstick I'd want to buy for the beautiful packaging alone. Missha really got it right with this one. The color is a rich red, ever so slightly shimmery and sophisticated. I'm definitely wearing this out New Years eve to take in 2014 in style! lol

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Review: LuLuLun » Moisture (Pink) Mask Pack

I think the packaging is pretty kawaii for this Japanese mask pack, but that's not the only thing that stood out about it. Only $5 for 7 mask sheets? This could either go really well or really bad...but of course I still gave them a try ^^

Brand » LuLuLun
Product » Moisture Mask Mini Pack (7 sheets)
Price » $5 USD
Website » not too sure on this one, but you can find them here
Would I repurchase? » Yup

So in case you missed it, these masks come with seven sheets to a pack and are stored in a ziplock bag. Contrary to other reviews, I found this to be pretty cool! These are easy to remove from the package, and no, you don't have to take out every mask. Just peel one from the top of the stack and you're good to go! Some essence gets on your hands, but that always happens to me when I use sheet masks. Plus, I don't mind my hands getting a little extra pampering along the way!

One thing to keep in mind is that these masks are extremely delicate as they are made from ultra-thin cotton. I personally did not see this as a problem, just don't be crazy when you're unfolding them and you'll be fine. These do tend to fit a little strangely, but with a few extra seconds of maneuvering I got these to cover all the right places in need of essence. One good thing about their strange shape is that the mask doesn't get into your hairline. They also stick to your face pretty dang well, so if you're a fan of multitasking there is no need to worry about this falling off.

If you've gotten this far, it means you've read far enough for me to tell you the best part! These masks contain NO colorants, NO fragrances, and NO mineral oil! So if you have sensitive skin you could definitely give these a try without major anxiety.

The results? These aren't you're luxurious, ultra-pampering type of mask, but they are great for daily use and a quick pick-me-up for your skin. My face always feels clean, refreshed, and moisturized after each use and these don't make my skin oily or sticky either. Also, the softness is a plus and you really can't complain about the price.

LuLuLun also offers these in a giant pack that comes with 42 sheets. In addition there is a blue high moisture variety and a white brightening variety. Personally, I love the mini pack of 7 sheets. I could see myself using them on a trip to some far off beach hotel for some quick pampering in between adventures, so I do recommend these to any of my traveling friends :)

Review: Dolly Wink » Liquid Eyeliner

Let's cut to the chase, Dolly Wink's Liquid Eyeliner is probably my favorite liquid eyeliner...ever! Check it:

Brand » Dolly Wink by Tsubasa Masuwaka
Product » Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Cost » $18 USD
Website »
Would I repurchase? » Is this even a question? lol

If you aren't familiar with the Dolly Wink brand then you should be, because it's awesome and super kawaii! Produced by the ever beautiful Japanese model Tsubasa Masuwaka, Dolly Wink is comprised of makeup meant to make your eyes pop...not to mention it has a fantastic collection of false lashes. I digress...

I had heard amazing things about this eyeliner, so when I found it in Little Tokyo in downtown LA, I had to take it home. Why is it so amazing, you ask? Well, it has a super fine brush tip that makes it easy to apply, seemingly never runs out, and stays looking perfect on your eyes all day (and even all night).

You can create super fine lines or the perfect wing tip. I've had this eyeliner for months and months now and the brush is still as good as it was the day I took it out of the package. Upon the first swipe I would say this eyeliner is at 90% opacity, so you'll have to go over it twice to achieve a true, midnight black. But given the application is effortless, retracing your steps really isn't a big deal.

One of my favorite aspects of this eyeliner is that it is water resistant. I'm not sure if it officially says that on the package because I can't read a word of Japanese, but in my experience it is and it's awesome. You can wear this in the shower or in a rainstorm and it will stay looking perfect, but at the same time with a little rubbing it is easy to remove. There is no need for that awful scrubbing that irritates your eyes to get this off. Although I don't recommend sleeping with your makeup on, I have passed out before on one of those long days and woken up to this looking as if I had just applied it!

There is really not much else to say, Dolly Wink's Liquid Eyeliner is the best. You can also get this in brown, but I like to wear it black. Unless I find a different liner that really blows my mind, I'll be sticking to this one.

Review: The Face Shop » Face it Power Perfection BB Cream

I don't know why, but I just really love base products and sometimes I get more excited about them than I probably should. Despite the CC craze I opted to pick up the FACE it Power Perfection BB Cream from The Face Shop on my last visit. Despite the price tag, I am not only thrilled with the packaging because purple is my power color, but I also love this BB as well!

Brand » The Face Shop
Product » FACE it Power Perfection BB Cream in no. 01 Light Beige
Size » 40g
Cost » $40 USD in store
Website »
Would I repurchase? » Yes!

This BB comes in a sturdy and shiny, sealed, plastic pump container. The packaging gets an A+ from me because it's quite hygienic and the cap also allows it to stand up and be displayed prettily on your countertop without it constantly tumbling over. I have been using this for months now and even dropped it a few times, but I have never had a problem with the pump.

The Power Perfection BB comes in two different shades, but I chose the lighter of the two as my skin is naturally pretty pale. This BB Cream definitely aims for a more porcelain doll look, so if you are trying to tan it up I definitely would not go for this one. I avoid tanning and embrace the natural look of my light skin so this one was pretty perfect for me. By the way, it contains SPF37/PA++ and is meant for wrinkle improvement, whitening, and sun protection.

The Face Shop's description? Containing omega-3 and the Vita-skin Complex, the cream enables the skin tone to appear moisturized and radiant with with a smoother skin texture. With an airy touch formula, it adheres in a thin layer as light as air yet flawlessly covers skin blemishes for a lustrous, healthy skin appearance.

I would have to agree that the Power Perfection BB spreads on effortlessly and despite its thin and airy feel actual has pretty heavy coverage. It does not however, flawlessly cover blemishes, but there isn't really such a thing as flawless in my book. With one swipe it will effectively hide any dark spots or acne scarring, but for more obvious blemishes you will still probably need a concealer. Although I don't find layering of this BB all that necessary considering it does a great job with coverage from the get-go, you can build upon it if you want.

The result is a silky finish that is pretty lustrous, but I personally prefer not to wear this BB without a dusting of loose powder on top. I've found that the powder increases wearability by a few hours and creates a wonderful matte look. The only downside? The Power Perfection BB settles into creases around the eyes and mouth (so don't lay it on thick in those areas). I don't have any wrinkles just yet, but I do tend to smile a lot and find myself checking my smile lines throughout the day. Somewhat annoying, but it's the only downfall to this one.

I was worried that after spending the cash, I was going to end up kicking myself when the Power Perfection BB didn't quite live up to my expectations. Luckily, it has certainly performed! It was the most natural looking out of the others I tested in the store and after bringing it home, I am very pleased with the coverage it supplies. I've never had any breakouts from it, although I would not recommend this for those of you with extreme blemishes, as it tends to sting if used on broken skin (the package even advises against it). It doesn't cling to flaky bits and keeps your skin moisturized throughout the day. I'm not sure if it helps with wrinkle improvement, but it certainly helps to even out skin tone.

Long story short? Love it!

Review: Skinfood » Wine Bubble Cleansing Foam

There is nothing like curling up with a good book and a glass of wine at the end of the night just before bed. Add a roaring fire to the mix and you're in for one classy evening. As wine contains many of those helpful antioxidants we hear oh so much about, it's not only good to drink (within reason), but those same antioxidants can do wonders for your skin! Long story short, this cleanser looked too fun and unique to pass up.

Brand » Skinfood
Product » Wine Bubble Cleansing Foam
Size » 160ml
Cost » $20 USD
Website »
Would I repurchase? » Probably not

The Wine Bubble Cleansing Foam contains wine from Cotes du Rhone, an excellent wine producer in France. What's good about that is that their wines are packed with plenty of powerful antioxidant polyphenols. But what are antioxidants anyway and why should I even care? Well, antioxidants basically protect your skin at a cellular level and help it to recover from injury. They can help combat the damaging effects from the sun and in the long run this means they will help to keep those pesky wrinkles at bay!

Skinfood also mentions that this cleanser contains AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) which is a naturally occurring acid in many fruits, and in this case grape wine, that helps to break down dead skin cells and gently exfoliate your skin.

This is a pretty typical foam cleanser and the consistency of the foam is identical to most foaming hand soaps. The best part about this cleanser though is by far the smell! It does not actually smell like wine, but rather permeates a sophisticated floral scent which is absolutely refreshing. Let's review, I looooove the way it smells!

However, I am not quite in love with the rest of this cleanser. It is pretty gentle and I would recommend this to any skin type. It is slightly moisturizing and also helpful for those of us with oily skin. On the downside, I have noticed that it usually takes at least two washes to get your base makeup off and you best double rinse otherwise this cleanser can sometimes leave a subtle, but noticeable film that lingers on the skin and could be potential cause for breakouts.

But if you're willing to put in the extra work, the Wine Bubble Cleansing Foam will leave your face feeling sleek and clean and even a little softer. The exfoliation aspect is very mild and only noticeable over time. In my opinion, it doesn't seem to deep cleanse your pores, but if you are looking for a cleanser that smells amazing, is very gentle, and does a great job at cleaning the surface of your skin with a little more effort, then you might want to consider picking this one up. Overall, I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.

Side note: I apologize for not regularly keeping up with my blog lately, but I am here and I do read all of your comments! It's busy season for the film industry right now and I have been working A TON. So, sorry about that. I will try to post more often and get back into the swing of things. Love you all!! As always, thank you for reading :D xo

Review: Skinfood » Rice Shimmer Powder #80

Hi everyone (´ω`★) I'm back after a long hiatus to tell you about this lovely loose powder that I absolutely adore! It's Skinfood's Rice Shimmer Powder. I eyed this for a long time before I finally gave in to buying it and lucky for me it turned out to be amazing!

Brand » Skinfood
Product » Rice Shimmer Powder #80
Size » 23g
Cost » $12 USD
Website »
Would I repurchase? » Absolutely

The Rice Shimmer Powder comes in a sturdy plastic container that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. It also comes with a generous amount of powder for the price, as I've purchased other loose powders with way less for much more before. So what's so great about this powder anyway? Let's take a look at what Skinfood says:

"Infused with soft, fine pearl particles, this multi-function powder achieves a subtle, luminous finish. Rice extract creates a clearer, incredibly radiant skin tone."

Yup. I totally agree with them on this one guys!

I'm sorry, but the picture above doesn't show the true quality of the shimmer this powder has. It was taken in bright outdoor light as you can tell by the other photos. But take my word, it's one of those powders that only shimmers in the right light, which is what I love about it. It doesn't look like you're wearing glitter on your face, but rather gives a soft and sophisticated glow at certain angles which really enhances your features. It almost reminds me of moonlight.

The powder is incredibly soft and slightly build-able (although it doesn't need it). Although mildly perfumed, the scent isn't heavy and doesn't linger on your face. If you like your makeup completely scent-free I'd look elsewhere, but I personally like the extra feminine touch when I open the lid.

The Rice Shimmer Powder is not completely translucent, so I'd recommend it for skin tones more on the fair side. Can I stress that this is perfect for setting your makeup? The only downside to this product is the fact that it comes with a sponge puff to apply the powder. In my opinion, it doesn't evenly distribute the powder on your face so I don't use it at all. However, I can't necessarily take points off for that as I feel if you want a natural looking finish from your powder, you should be using a powder brush anyway. But hey, it was nice of them to include something to apply the powder for those of us who don't have a brush or need to use this on the go.

Overall, I absolutely love this powder. I've never had any breakouts or negative reactions while using this. The Rice Shimmer Powder makes your skin look natural and doesn't leave that fake, white, powdery look when applied correctly. It doesn't cling to or emphasize flaky bits of skin and it lasts basically all day. The best part? It truly gives off a youthful, glowing, finish that brings out the natural beauty of your skin.

Review: Etude House » Moistfull Collagen Cream, First Essence, & Enriched Cream

May I just mention that Etude House's name was inspired by Chopin? I don't know about you, but to me that's pretty enchanting! Their Moistfull Collagen collection is another reason I love this brand, and as it's one of Etude's most popular lines, I can't wait to tell you about it!

Brand » Etude House
Product » Moistfull Collagen Cream, First Essence, Enriched Cream
Size » 50ml, 100ml, 50ml
Cost » $20 USD each (prices vary)
Website »
Would I purchase the full version? » Yes :)

Moistfull Collagen Cream

Etude's Description: Fight for dryness!! Firming moisture cream with baobab tree and collagen extract improving your dermal structure leaving tight and moist skin.

The Moistfull Collagen Cream has one of the more interesting scents I've experienced in skincare products. To me, it smells like a combination of orange peels, jasmine, and a hint of allspice. It's a strange mix, but I do enjoy the scent! It isn't strong smelling and it fades as the cream absorbs. This is thick enough that if you turn the container upside down, the cream will stay in place.

The texture is smooth and light, but it isn't watery like some creams. After a minute or so, the cream fully absorbs to leave your skin with a velvety smooth surface. The effects are immediate and leave your skin with a noticeable layer of moisture.

Ingredients: hydrolyzed collagen, water, butylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, adansonia digitata fruit extract, glycerin, cyclohexasiloxane, glyceryl polymethacrylate, hydrogenated lecithin, cetearyl alcohol, hydrolyzed adansonia digitata extract, betaine, cetylethylhexanoate, glyceryl stearate, hydrogenated polyisobutene, stearic acid, pca dimethicone, dimethiconol, cyclomethicone, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, silica, dimethicone, polyethylene, sodium polyacrylate, polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, hydrogenated polydecene, peg/ppg-20/15 dimethicone, phenyl methicone, ethylhexylglycerin, ppg-5-laureth-5, carbomer, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, fragrance, yellow 5 (ci 19140), red 33 (ci 17200)

Moistfull Collagen First Essence

Etude's Description: moisturizer maintains 90% of Hydrolyzed Collagen content to tighten and moisturize complexion while strengthening skin structure to prevent aged look.

This is the first step in the 7 part Moistfull Collagen skincare system. The smell is nearly identical to the cream, but I would say it leans more toward a citrusy scent. This glides effortlessly onto the skin in a consistency slightly thicker than water. As the essence is absorbed, the texture turns from watery to something familiar to a lotion, becomes slightly sticky, and finally the stickiness fades completely, leaving your skin looking instantly more youthful and revamped.

This makes me feel as though a layer of clouds has landed on the surface of my skin and are awaiting the arrival of more moisture! It takes around 3 minutes for the first essence to fully absorb. It seems to rest beneath the surface and preps the skin for the addition of another moisturizer to fill in the gaps, but it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and soft from the get-go.

Ingredients: hydrolyzed collagen, alcohol, adansonia digitata fruit extract, hydroxyethylcellulose, butylene glycol, peg-60 hydrogenated castor oil, benzophenone-5, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, ci 19140, ci 17200, fragrance

Moistfull Collagen Enriched Cream

Etude's Description: Enriched texture forms protective, moisture binding barrier to keep skin smooth and soft. Contains baobab tree seed oil for moisture retention and collagen for elasticity care.

The Moistfull Collagen Enriched Cream can be used interchangeably with the regular Cream. The scents are nearly identical, if not the same. The textures are similar as well, but I would say the enriched cream is slightly heavier than the regular cream. "Barrier" is the word to focus on here, as it really does seem to create a shield of moisture on the surface of the skin that the regular cream does not provide. The regular cream does give a layer of moisture, but I would say that the enriched cream is a little more heavy duty and aids more with elasticity. Neither one is better than the other, they are just different in my opinion! The enriched cream takes around 5 minutes to fully absorb.

Ingredients: water, hydrolyzed collagen, glycerin, butylene glycol, hydrogenated polyisobutene, cetyl ethylexanoate, adansonia digitata fruit extract, phytosteryl/behenyl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate, hydrolized adansonia digitata extract, sodium hyaluronate, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin, carbomer, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer, peg-60 glyceryl isostearate, dimethicone, tromethamine, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, fragrance

It was only after continued use that I began to see why this collection is loved around the world. To be honest, although my skin did feel moisturized on the first day, I didn't think the Collagen Moistfull Line was all that special right away. However, after a week of applying the first essence, followed by the cream in the morning, and the enriched cream at night as a sleeping pack, I have noticed a huge difference in the quality of my skin!

Even if you don't understand Korean, this video is cute!

My favorite thing about the Moistfull Collagen line is that it has made my skin extremely soft! The shocking thing is the softness actually remains even if I stop using the cream for days! Nothing lasts forever, of course, but I am not used to softness lasting so long from using a product. What's more, I can actually feel that my skin is firmer from the inside out and not just on the surface. These have most certainly helped with elasticity! I have even noticed a slight diminishing of fine lines and tightening of pores.

I was worried that these creams would be a little too heavy for my combination skin, but I am pleased to say that I have never experienced any negative reactions to these products and recommend them for all skin types. In fact, my skin has been recovering from a string of stress related breakouts and these have helped to speed up the healing process! I've only tried these 3 items from the Moistfull Collagen collection, but I wouldn't doubt the effects are even greater when all 7 steps are used. Overall, these leave my skin looking and feeling much healthier and even give my skin a natural glow!

Review: Laneige » Pore Minimizing Pack

Laneige as a brand makes me think of crystal clear skin. With the name meaning 'snow' in French it's no wonder that their brand focuses on water to keep skin healthy and lively! I've really grown to love Laneige and after visiting the Amore store awhile back, I received a generous amount of samples of their Pore Minimizing Pack. I couldn't wait to try it out and yes, I absolutely lucked out with this one!

Brand » Laneige
Product » Pore Minimizing Pack
Size » 100ml
Cost » $20 USD
Website »
Would I purchase the full version? » Yes!!

I really don't have anything bad to say about this clay mask! It smells sophisticated and feminine and spreads on with a consistency of a lotion or BB cream. I loved this aspect of the mask because it wasn't so thick as many other clay masks I've tried in the past. I was actually really surprised by the consistency! I agree with all the claims Laneige makes about this product and have experienced excellent results. I'm definitely on the more obsessed side when it comes to dealing with my pores and this mask helps a lot!

The Pore Minimizing Pack honestly does dry in only 3-5 minutes. You don't need to leave it on longer than that to get results. Laneige says you only need a nickel-sized amount to spread around, but in reality you need more than that for your entire face. A little does go a long way, however, and you don't need to lay this on thick to get results.

Laneige's Directions:
Sooth skin with toner and apply a nickel-sized amount over your face, avoiding the eye area. Cover your entire face with an opaque layer.
When the pack dries after 3~5 minutes, rinse off with water and sooth skin with toner.
You may use this product on the entire face, but it can also be used on problematic areas with excess sebum secretion.
Use it 1~2 times a week, but you may increase the frequency according to your skin condition.

Ingredients: water, kaolin, butylene glycol, magnesium aluminum silicate, sodium methyl cocyl taurate, titanium dioxide, moroccan lava clay, melia azadirachta extract, protease, salycylic acid, chlorphenesin, xanthan gum, glyceryl stearate, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, phenoxyethanol, alcohol, disodium edta, fragrance

Sorry I know this photo doesn't have the best lighting, but as you can see it dries to look like I'm wearing way too much sunblock haha. I accidentally put extra on my nose so it looks more white there. The amazing thing about this clay mask is that my face doesn't feel super tight while the mask is dry! Yes, it is a little stiff, but only slightly (it is a clay mask after all). I can still move my face around and it isn't nearly as thick as other clay masks! The mask doesn't turn out looking cracked while drying.

This is SO easy to wash off! Lukewarm water works best and once the water hits your skin the mask just wipes off! My skin feels incredibly smooth after and my pores are significantly smaller. You really can notice!! One troubling thing I've experienced with other clay masks is struggling to wash it off which causes me to pull at my skin. This results with my skin looking red and feeling irritated and tired. But NOT with this mask!! The Laneige Pore Minimizing Pack is amazing in that it is very light for a clay mask and has never left my face looking red or feeling irritated either.

Also, this helps to pull out impurities and toxins from your skin. It makes blackheads especially easier to remove and I can just tell that my skin feels cleaner from within. This does help a little bit with sebum control and exfoliation, but I mainly like it for minimizing my pores. Another great thing about this mask is that it doesn't suck any moisture out of your skin! I'd recommend this for any skin type and for those if you with oily skin to use more often throughout the week. Overall, I love the Pore Minimizing Pack from Laneige and will definitely be purchasing the full version of this product!

Questions by Nineteen&:

What is on your current top 3 cosmetic-only wishlist?

Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara, Holika Holika Heartful Glossy Lipstick in Forever Coral, Dolly Wink Sweet Cat Lashes

 What is your life motto?

Life is an adventure!

 Lipstain, Lipstick, or Lipgloss?

I'm definitely a lipstick kind of girl. Although, lipstain and lipgloss can be fun!

What childhood memories to do want to revisit again?

I miss the absolute freedom of being a kid. It was awesome not really knowing about money and work and boring things that adults do. I could let my imagination soar!

More specifically, I miss walking home from school and knocking on my friend's door who lived nearby. Remember when randomly showing up wasn't considered weird? His parents were from Germany and his mom would always give us the best German chocolates ever. I remember one where inside the chocolate was a capsule that had a little toy inside that you would build after eating the chocolate! That and snow days...I definitely miss snow days.

If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be and why?

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu! She's a jpop megastar for those of you who don't know and she's famous for kawaii fashion. I'd love to dress up in crazy outfits and be respected for it. Plus, it would be cool to speak Japanese for a day lol

Name a song that perfectly or somewhat describes your life.

This is a really tough question...and I really don't know, sorry lol Probably something about never giving up cause I think that's important!

Are you comfortable with walking out the door with a bare face?

The short answer is...sometimes. If I'm just running errands and don't expect to see anyone I know and am extra lazy that day OR if my skin looks great then I don't mind. But, if I'm meeting someone I know or my skin is terrible that day I like to have at least base products on. If it's a date, you've got to be kidding...mascara and the works! Most days I put on makeup though, even if I'm not going anywhere because it's fun!

What is your morning beauty routine?

My routine changes from time to time as my skin's needs change throughout the year. Also, I don't believe in sticking to the same exact routine or products. Usually, I start with a foam cleanser, then essence, emulsion, moisturizer, eye cream, primer, bb cream, powder, and makeup! When I have extra time in the morning I like to use a mask and massage my face. Also, I drink green tea to detoxify and plenty of water to stay hydrated! Stretching also does wonders :)

What is your go-to makeup brand?

Right now I'm really loving Etude House, but I believe that almost every brand has something great to offer! I tend not to stick with just one brand, though.

Do you tend to trust people easily?

No way! It sounds bad, I know, but I believe that trust is something to be earned. Once you earn my trust though, I am very loyal ^___^

The Face Shop » Lovely me:ex Pastel Cushion Blusher #03 Plum Cushion

Anyong beautiful readers! I wanted to show you this adorable little blush from The Face Shop! I am such a sucker for cute packaging and I really couldn't resist this one.

The Lovely me:ex Plum Cushion Blusher comes in an adorable cardboard container. The packaging is pretty sturdy and I actually quite like it, but it might not be the best for the adventurous traveler to take along. I am pleased that the lid fits tightly and securely. The cardboard isn't flimsy or anything so as long as you take care of it you shouldn't have any problems with it not being of the plastic variety. It comes with a cute little powder puff inside topped with a bow to apply the blush. There is no separation between the puff and the product itself, however, so it's best to clean the puff before replacing. Or, you can simply use your own makeup brush of course!

This pressed powder blush is a very pastel shade and gives you a doll-like appearance. I think this would look great paired with a light lip and accentuated eyes, especially with falsies! Sorry, but I really couldn't get the blush to show up very well in pictures (due to lighting), but it is much more prominent in person and I find it gives you a very cutesy, youthful look. In the right light, it shimmers and is quite pretty!

You can barely tell that I am wearing any blush in the photo, but if you don't want a stand out blush then the Plum Cushion blusher is a good choice. It's a great pick if you're going for a porcelain doll finish, but want to stay close to looking natural. In terms of wearability, it's lasted me all day and I haven't had a problem with it wiping off. The only thing I do not like about the blush is you cannot build up the color! I'd say there is a difference between layer one and layer two, but after that no matter how much you apply it won't get any more pigmented. On the bright side, there's basically no way can mess it up lol.

The Lovely me:ex Blushers come in five variations. I chose #03 Plum Cushion after testing all five in store because I liked the color the best (although I think the award for cutest packaging goes to the Rose Blusher). Overall, this blush is chalky in texture and matte with a slight shimmer. I love the packaging and think the pastel is perfect for anyone wanting to look super kawaii!
