To anyone who's reading this, I'm writing to you from Seoul, South Korea! I haven't been blogging in months, because...well I was spending all my time and energy on getting myself to this amazing country. But now, after nearly one whole year of hard work, I can finally say I am here!
It's been my dream for so long to one day come to Korea. There were countless nights of studying Hangul and overdosing on kdramas...trying to wrack my brain enough to read Korean, braving downtown Los Angeles traffic during rush hour to see SHINee perform, and of course many, many a sheet mask. Sheet masks and Korean bbq!
But none of those things could add up to the real thing. I always dreamed about walking into a REAL LIFE Etude House store and wearing a big bow in my hair and not having people think I'm out of my mind. Also it would be nice to live in a place where being pale didn't mean you were a total vampire weirdo (yeah...California girls aren't exactly going for the pale look...) and instead having people think you are beautiful.
With that said, I am currently living here for the next year of my life! Two months in I am already in love with this city. Although Beautiful Doki Doki has been solely committed to Asian makeup and skincare, from now on I will be posting about my travels in Seoul as well. And maybe even some personal stories about my life here ;) Hope you can stay along for the ride!
